"Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain, whose citizens often spend as much of their money on Lebanon's ski slopes in the winter as they do on its beaches in the summer, [me: and on Russian and Ukranian prostitutes in Kaslik all year round] have advised their citizens not to travel to a country in the grip of its worst political crisis since the end of the civil war in 1990."
This is the appended graphic with the article, and the caption under it reads: "Tourists on a camel ride in downtown Beirut." Two things: (1) We have a lot of different حيوانات that reside in downtown Beirut, but I certainly didn't know we had camels, and (2) How exotic of a Gulfi tourist to ride a camel in Beirut! What a novelty!
